・ST among the top 2% of companies rated A on Climate
・CDP rates ST’s water protection as A-

Geneva, Switzerland – April 30, 2025 – STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM), a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications, has been recognized for leadership in corporate transparency and performance on Climate and Water Security by global environmental non-profit CDP, securing a place on its prestigious ‘A List’ for tackling climate change and a rating of ‘A-’ for water security.

“Inclusion in the CDP’s A List for Climate is an important recognition of progress on our carbon neutrality commitment for 2027, our efforts on climate change mitigation in our operations and engagement with our partners to decarbonize our supply chain,” said Rajita D’Souza, President, Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility, STMicroelectronics. “Recognition on the ‘A-’ list for Water shows that we are making progress in our efforts to reduce our water footprint in our operations and sites and to further develop our positive impact and support for communities.”

Based on data reported through CDP’s 2024 Climate questionnaire, ST is one of a small number of companies that achieved an ‘A’, out of nearly 22,400 companies scored for climate. The grade ‘A’ is awarded to companies that provide detailed and transparent reporting on their activities in climate protection and demonstrate significant progress in reducing their carbon footprint. ST has been disclosing climate protection-related data to CDP since 2004.

CDP’s annual environmental disclosure and scoring process is widely recognized as the gold standard of corporate environmental transparency. Aligned with the Taskforce for Climate Related Financial Disclosure, CDP holds the largest environmental database in the world, and its scores are widely used to drive investment and procurement decisions towards a zero carbon, sustainable and resilient economy.

STMicroelectronics has recently set new commitments and goals to drive to the Company’s sustainability priorities until 2030 and 2035. These new goals look beyond ST’s carbon neutrality commitment for 2027, which covers all direct and indirect emissions (scopes 1 and 2), as well as product transportation, business travel, and employee commuting emissions (our scope 3 focus) and include setting new goals to decarbonize the Company’s supply chain and working with suppliers to reduce greenhouse gas upstream emissions. ST has also set new goals for energy savings, water recycling and Alliance for Water Stewardship certification. Find out more about ST’s approach to sustainability and new long-term goals here.
