THine exhibit high-speed interface technology for JDI’s automotive 3K panel at CES2016

TOKYO (December 24, 2015) – THine Electronics, Inc. (JASDAQ:6769), the global leader in high-speed serial interface and provider of mixed-signal LSI today announced its exhibition of its high-speed interface technology, V-by-One®HS for Japan Display Inc.(“JDI”)’s automotive 3K LCD panel at International CES2016, held at Las Vegas, USA from January 6thto 9th, 2016. This will be exhibited at Hirose Electric Co., Ltd.’s Booth 73563 (Wearables Marketplace) at Hall A-C, Sands Expo (Tech West).
THine has automotive product line-ups, including V-by-One®HS and timing controllers (TCONs), for full-HD in-vehicle infotainment and its dedicated solution for Japanese automakers’ infotainment systems and electric rear-view mirrors. Automotive display systems are requiring higher-resolution. Automotive makers are developing their products toward such trend. THine, in order to offer smarter solution for higher-resolution panels, will exhibit its V-by-One®HS technology for the internal interface of JDI’s automotive 3K (2880x1080) panel with Hirose Electric’s connector technology for higher-speed and high-quality.
V-by-One
®HS allows reducing internal interface cables up to only 2-pairs, or one-tenth of usually required 20-pairs, between graphic engines and TCONs. V-by-One®HS is recognized as de facto standard for high-definition televisions such as 4K TV. THine also exhibits its TCON technology for automotive 3K panels. THine plans to develop TCONs with V-by-One®HS and to support the market trend for higher resolution through THine’s value added by its new technology.
